Kwidine (pronounced qui-ding): Baby talk version of “Christine,” which is what my baby brothers (now in high school!) called me many years ago. The nickname and alias I’ve been using since Junior High just stuck.

I’m a 20-something recent graduate from University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Psychology-biology and a minor in Communications. Originally, I was on track to applying to Optometry School, but after I held the Banquet Chair position for my co-ed community service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, I decided that it was time for a career change! (Haven’t looked back since, and I hope I won’t have to!)

I am currently taking classes to get an Associates Degree in Hospitality Management. I believe in constantly better-ing yourself, and what better way than to keep getting educated? Graduate school may be in the picture – but definitely not in the near future.

I am a Banquet Captain (think Wedding Coordinator) and Banquet Sales Associate (think Wedding Planning) at Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Centers. I get to help brides plan their dream weddings and coordinate their events on the day of. Living the dream? I think so!

Besides working and going to school, I am also interning for a wedding fashion blog and a wedding/events magazine. I never thought I could do writing professionally, but I really do enjoy being an editorial intern! Besides, I love weddings. And I love blogging. What could get better than that?

It seems like I have a lot on my plate, but I do still make time for my favorite things: family and friends, TV, blogs, boba, and sports.
