a twist in my story

Writing, to me, is simply thinking through my fingers.

{wedding pick} nantucket preppy meets southern charm

Marriage is like a golden ring in a chain, whose beginning is a glance and whose ending is eternity. -Kahlil Gibran

Some say the best weddings are the Southern weddings, and with this gorgeous wedding shot by Trent Bailey Photography, I might have to agree! This beautiful outdoor wedding in Nantucket beneath a lighthouse (and right next to the ocean!) definitely took my breath away.

The groom is wearing “Nantucket Reds” which are famous faded red pants in Nantucket. I love that it’s so unique.. and different from the usual black suit! And the more I look at these photos, the more I think the bride looks like Jennifer Morrison (from Once Upon a Time) mixed with Shantel VanSanten (from One Tree Hill). Agree?

Doesn’t she look so adorable? This could totally be an advertisement for a cake!

Forehead kisses are the cutest! And these two photos really capture the couple’s sweet love.

I love chiavari chairs, and they usually come in brown, gold, or silver.. but these red ones really stand out against the green grass and the beautiful blue sky.

The sign on the boat says, “We’re Wicked in Love, Ya’ll.”

I love this dress! I love the lace, the fabric, how it flows, and everything!

And of course, when you wed next to the ocean.. you have to take a dip, too!

I’ve always seen weddings by the beach, but I think this may be the first time I’ve seen one where the couple actually get into bathing suits and get into the water. (This clearly means that the couple is totally fun, right?) Not only do they look like they’re having fun, they look fabulous doing it.

And of course, a stunning last picture to end my wedding pick of the week!

This stunning wedding has got me wishing I could travel all over the South to find the perfect venue! But for now.. I guess I’ll just look through pictures.
