a twist in my story

Writing, to me, is simply thinking through my fingers.

{event} hangin’ out with the bestie

Life’s all good when the boy and the best friend are both in the same city as me. So I was ecstatic when Jason told me he was staying in Fremont for a day (today) before flying back to Irvine. I had a pretty productive morning – finished school work, did internship assignments, and I even did some chores around the house before heading out.

While I was waiting for Jason, I got the opportunity to snap a photo of this beautiful tree right outside Brandon’s house (where Jason was staying). I love how this pastel pink colored tree goes so well with the sky blue and the light green grass! I want at least one of these kind of trees planted on my future property. By the way, I am totally loving the weather in the bay! It’s like spring time already!

I saw this tree on the way to Brandon’s house, so when we were heading towards lunch, we passed it again. I actually parked my car on the side of the road to snap this photo. (Hey, it’s gorgeous.. so I had to!) Anyone else would’ve judged me, but Jason just sat in my car waiting patiently, hah.

We picked up Chris so we could grab lunch together at the pho restaurant, Miss Pho Saigon, next to Chris’ workplace. I thought they already told me all their New York stories, but they had more! And we also discussed a bit of our birthday plans in Vegas. I am so excited!

After Chris went back to work, Jason and I headed over to Verde to get some bobaWalmart to pick up some socks, and then Great Mall to shop. He ended up buying some suitcases for traveling purposes.

It’s pretty funny – for everyone else, more embarrassing for me – because my sense of direction is so bad that Jason, who hasn’t lived in Fremont for years, had to tell me how to get places. He told me that there’s no point in living in Fremont since I am not really familiar with places, and that I should just start over and live in Los Angeles. He’s still on my case about moving to Southern California!

We were debating what to eat for dinner, but because we wanted to celebrate National Margarita Day, we went to eat Mexican food for dinner! I’ve never been to Mission Jarrito, and Jason hasn’t been there in years, so we decided to dine there. We were trying to finish dinner fast so we could hit up some happy hours before I had to drive him to the airport.

This is the sampler! (Forgot what the exact name was..)

Their chimichanga was huge! I couldn’t even finish my half..

Our waitress was super nice and cute! But we’re pretty sure she thought we were on a date, so that was kind of awkward..

Justin was back in Fremont for the day, so Jason and I went to meet him and Alvin up at Applebee’s. After twenty minutes of hanging out, Jason decided he was just going to stay in Fremont instead of flying back to Irvine tonight. Chris joined us later for Happy Hour. (I was DD, so all I had was water!) I think this may have been the first time I sat at the bar at Applebee’s.. I just tend to like booths or tables because it’s more intimate. Anyways, towards the end of the night, there was this guy who was really getting into my personal space and making me feel creeped out. I just kept inching to the left closer to my boyfriend, hahah.

Although Jason and I talk pretty frequently about everything, it sucks that we can’t hang out more because he’s in Irvine and I’m in Fremont. So I really do cherish the times we do get to hang out. (That sounds so cheesy!) I like that Jason’s always down, and that he’s always there for me, not only when it’s convenient. It’s always nice to have good people on your side! ;)
